AERONET Instrument Troubleshooting Interface - Solutions for SIM CARD ERROR Flag

Condition(s)
Flag if c-status 5/day or 35-/week

How To Check/Test
Only Model T instruments. See Model T Internal Connections for SIM card location.

Solution Level 1 (< 5 minutes)
1. Turn Auto OFF. See Model T switching AUTO On_off.
2. Disconnect the external battery and solar panel from the connector panel for at least 1 minute.
3. Reconnect the battery and solar panel.
4. Run the attached SIM Network Test.
5. Turn Auto ON. See Model T switching AUTO On_off.

Solution Level 2 (more involved)
Sometimes if the external power was unstable and caused many resets to the control box, it could cause the control box to clear the programmed settings and return to default.
1. Check power connections to the control box, check for corrosion to the battery terminals or loose connections. See External battery connections Model T.
2. On the control box go to Settings and scroll down to Number to verify it shows the correct instrument number written on the control box and sensor head. If it shows 0, contact AERONET for additional instructions to upload the correct settings.

Solution Level 3 (last resort)
1. Return instrument for maintenance
